William Walker Elementary School Replacement
Summary
William Walker Elementary School, located in Beaverton Oregon, is the third of four schools that has been replaced as part of the District’s $680 million construction bond approved by voters in May 2014. Construction began after the 2017-18 school year to build the two-story, 87,200 sq.ft. building to house over 750 students in fall 2019. The same design was used for the Hazeldale, Vose, and Sato elementary schools built 1-2 years prior. The mechanical and plumbing scope consisted of 9 large air handling units complete with packaged cooling, over 80 air terminal units with hydronic heating, gas fired water heaters and boilers, multiple gang bathrooms, and each classroom has a sink and drinking fountain.
