Portland State University – Karl Miller Center
Summary
The PSU School of Business Administration’s renovated 143,000 sq. ft facility opened Fall 2017 and has since achieved LEED Platinum. HydroTemp worked closely with all team members through preconstruction to BIM to construction in order to renovate the occupied building. The process was completed in 3 challenging phases. We worked through 4 budget phases and many VE and different cost analysis options to come to the best end product for the owner. Prefabrication with just in time deliveries was critical for the downtown project with no laydown space. Trimble layout ensured accurate installation at a fast pace. The mechanical systems consisted of Heat Recovery AHU’s with hydronic coils, TU’s, radiant floors a steam to HW system and chilled water from PSU’s central plant.
