Sato Elementary School
Summary
Sato Elementary, located in Portland, Oregon, was built as part of the Beaverton School District’s $680 million construction bond that was approved by voters in May of 2014. Sato shares the same design as Vose, William Walker and Hazeldale Elementary. The 87,200 sq. ft school was finished in September of 2017 to allow for a 750 student capacity throughout 32 classrooms. The mechanical and plumbing scope consisted of 9 large air handling units complete with packaged cooling, over 80 air terminal units with hydronic heating, gas fired water heaters and boilers, multiple gang bathrooms, and each classroom has a sink and drinking fountain.
