Eugene Water & Electric Board Operations Center
Overview
This facility achieved LEED Gold certification for EWEB. The new operations center is a 52 acre site that consists of three main buildings totaling 168,957 square feet. The diverse systems in which this project includes are; solar hot water heating, heat recovery systems, radiant heating, service fluid piping, vehicle wash system, and an eco-machine. An eco-machine recovers all waste and storm water for reuse with no water leaving the site. The main mechanical systems include; custom rooftop air handlers, VAV reheat, multiple types of variable refrigerant heat recovery and cooling systems, indoor fan coils, two boiler plants, and three types of chillers to minimize energy use. BIM coordination was utilized in varying levels to fit each of the three main buildings.
