Oregon State Hospital – Junction City Campus
Summary
The 223,000 sqft 174 bed psychiatric facility is LEED Silver Certified. We are using an open loop geothermal ground source heat pump system to heat and cool. Utilizing a heat recovery chiller, chilled beams, hospital style AT/EV’s, fan coils, natural ventilation, heat recovery air handlers and a large solar array for domestic water heating. This is all accomplished throughout the building with areas of low to high security and corresponding finishes and fixtures. BIM was essential to make all of these systems fit, as well as utilizing Trimble to take the BIM model into reality for the schedule. Rough-in of mechanical and plumbing systems was completed in 5-1/2 months and consistently beat the schedule while not impacting other trades.
